I'm a golden labrador called Laptop - strange name you might think.
I got the name because my owners bred me and their daughter wanted to keep me - but she was going to university and that meant she had to choose - dog or laptop for uni? So she had both - and I'm the laptop!
I live near Bonsall in Derbyshire, I love running around the village with my Mum and visiting the cafe to eat my favourite big breakfasts, and drink hot chocolate - actually that's my Mum doing that, I just get to sit outside in the covered over seating area! We even have horses tied up outside sometimes! Bonsall is a lovely village, really friendly and everyone knows me and I just have to say hello to everyone.
Gotta go - dinner is calling!

Laptop sounds very funny. Don't you get people looking at you all peculiar when you call her?
That cafe sounds good too. It is as if it is especially thought out for doggie walkers to have a rest in once they have romped around the moors for hours. Do they sell yummy cakes there too?
oh yes,the Queen's Head Cafe is superb - lots of lovely sticky human cakes but no doggy cakes yet - I'll have to suggest it.
I love Bonsall though as there is loads of tracks and off-road paths that I can go off my lead and have a good run. There's stone walls either side of the tracks, so I can't get up to mischief! I love it when we finish our walk and go down to the cafe because they have loads of railings to safely tie me to and the chef there always brings me out a bowl of fresh water. There's plenty of people passing backwards and forwards and I've learnt to wag my tail and put the labrador eyes on! Usually get someone feeling sorry for me because I do it so well!
Gotta go, my Mum's off work today, so I need to drag her off on a walk, if I don't get blown away first!!
Laptop has been for walkies with my cairn terrier bonny, the village is a wonderful place to live and the cafe sells great food and is friendly and welcoming. Pam
I was down at the cafe again today - seems like my owners can't cook themselves! It was really busy which is a surprise since it was snowing here today - but it looked very pretty in the village with a coating of snow on the roofs of the limestone houses. I had my usual walk up to see the horses this morning and give them their haylage - it was very cold, made my fur stand up on end! My friend Rusty the pony was very glad he had his winter rug on.
Mum's been busy again today - eating lots of bacon cobs at the cafe! Kirsty my other owner is home from University at the moment, so they both went off and left me! Brought me a sausage back though so I guess that was ok. Apparently the Queens Head does a mean breakfast... too much for everyone to eat though so I get the left overs!
